What To Expect
Lines and wrinkles around the face and neck are a normal part of the ageing process. As skin ages, it loses some of its elasticity and loss of volume, especially in areas of expression around the face caused by the regular contraction of facial muscles below the skin surface.
Understanding this process, combined with a dynamic assessment of the facial structure, is critical in developing a comprehensive treatment strategy. This combination of the proper treatments, by a trained professional, utilising a variety of injectables, dermal fillers, skin resurfacing and the product with the key ingredients can successfully address these issues with excellent results with little or no downtime.
If you prefer quick results, we have a procedure that involves only minor discomfort as it is performed with (disposable) needles and offer numbing cream (although many patients find this unnecessary). The process takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes. Although mild redness and slight swelling is common immediately after anti-wrinkle treatments, this usually resolves within 30 minutes.
Mild bruising is possible, but for most patients, there is no real downtime, and most will return to work or their usual daily activities immediately.
Effects begin to show between 3 to 14 days following treatment. We invite our patients back after two weeks to review the results and make fine adjustments where necessary. This is considered an integral part of the treatment and does not incur any extra charge.

What are anti-wrinkle treatments?
Anti-wrinkle or anti-ageing treatments are a safe and highly effective treatment procedure to smooth facial wrinkles and reduce the natural signs of ageing.
To do this we apply targeted anti-wrinkle injections to plumpen your skin making it firmer and smoother without the need for procedures that might require the use of a scalpel.
This treatment is used to treat common signs of ageing such as jowls, crows feet, marionette lines, smile lines, forehead wrinkles, frown lines and many other common places wrinkles occur.
How do anti-wrinkle injections work?
Anti-wrinkle injections work by blocking the transmission of nerve signals to the target muscle group. This means that the muscles cannot contract which creates the appears of firmer, tighter skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, helping you to look younger.
What's the difference between anti-wrinkle treatments and surgery?
Surgery involves the use of general anaesthetic and invasive procedures with the use of scalpels which carry significant risks, downtimes and costs. Using surgery to treat wrinkles involves making incisions, exposing tissue under the skin to be cut or pulled into shapes that reduce wrinkles.
We do not believe in this practice and use non-surgical treatments only - you can get the same results without the need for anti-wrinkle surgery. Our approach involves using small amounts of targetted anti-wrinkle injections that use an effective neurotoxic protein, due to the small doses no anaesthesia is required.
Do anti-wrinkle injections require any downtime?
As treatments involve lots of small, microinjections there is a possibility of some redness and bruising occurring after the procedure. However this varies from person to person, we would need to confirm your medical history to give you a more accurate answer as to whether you may require some downtime after the anti-wrinkle injection treatment.
Do anti-wrinkle treatments hurt?
Our anti-wrinkle treatments involve small injections with a very fine needle. Most patients describe the procedure as painless but otherwise, you may feel some slight discomfort.
When will I see results?
Most people will start to see improvements after 2 to 3 days, but the final result can take around 15 to 20 days.
How long will anti-wrinkle injections last?
It varies between patients and areas treated, but in general, you should expect the results to last an average of 4 to 5 months. At this point, you may require a top-up to maintain the results.
Will anti-wrinkle treatments work on my skin type?
The product works on all skin types, as it is injected into the targeted muscle and not to the top layers of skin tissue.

Preparing For Your Treatment
Before Your Anti-Wrinkle Treatment
It is important you tell your practitioner about any medicines or dietary supplements you are taking.
If you are taking supplements such as Vitamin A, C or E, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, fish oils, St. Johns Wort or some pain killing medicines such as aspirin or ibuprofen, then these can increase your risk of bruising and it may be advisable to stop taking them a few days before your treatment. It is also advisable that you do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment, for the same reason.
It is not advisable to have treatment if you are feeling at all unwell.
After Your Anti-Wrinkle Treatment
You will be advised to avoid extremes of heat or cold, vigorous exercise.
Treatment it is expected that you will start to see an improvement within 2 or 3 days. For some people, this takes longer. You will be invited to attend a review appointment where the success of the treatment may be assessed and adjustments to your personal treatment plan made, if necessary.
